Online shopping advantages and disadvantages
There are many advantages when you buy things online, one of which is that there are so many different stores available that you can shop at. Because of how big it has become, people no longer have to go out and shop, they just stay in their home and shop from their computer or mobile device. Another advantage is that when you order items online they will come straight to your door. Shopping online has become extremely popular because it’s easy and because it’s convenient. Many of these purchases can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The biggest disadvantage of buying online is that you don’t actually get to see what it looks like before purchasing it. One time I purchased something for $24 dollars only for me to receive it and realize that I didn’t want it after all. It was way too small even though I had read down the size chart before purchasing. Even if the item did fit me, I would still want to try it on before paying such a high price. No matter how good something looks online once you finally get your hands on them they could end up being complete garbage. There are pros and cons to every single thing that we do as humans, and shopping online isn’t any different.
What is better online shopping or offline?
Online shopping is a major part of retail sales today. E-commerce was almost $2 trillion worldwide in 2015, representing 10% of total retail sales for that year. While many people are concerned about how online shopping affects brick-and-mortar stores, there are actually many positive things about e-commerce. For example, online shoppers tend to be wealthier than other consumers, resulting in more money spent on goods than would have been spent at brick-and-mortar locations. The growth of e-commerce also makes it easier for companies to sell products internationally, boosting exports while creating jobs in those markets.
