Birds of Prey star Margot Robbie made headlines when she was photographed looking tearful outside Cara Delevingne’s home recently.

It sparked concern for their friendship, with many speculating it had something to do with Cara’s recently spotted erratic behavior.

But Margot insists in an interview with Vanity Fair that she just had something in her eye.

She told the outlet, ‘I had something in my eye.’

‘I’m trying to grab my face mask, trying to hold a coffee cup and I couldn’t get a hair outta my eye.’

Margot said her mother even rang to see if everything was okay after she saw the photos in the tabloids.

The DC actress told Vanity Fair that she wasn’t even at Cara’s house in the photos.

She explained, ‘I’m outside an Airbnb that I was renting for five days! And I’m not crying!’

Unfortunately, this is something the actress deals with on a regular basis and she’s learned, as Vanity Fair has put it, ‘she can’t refute every false story.’

Margot said, ‘You want to correct it, but you just can’t. You have to, I don’t know, look the other way.’
