Myles Munroe was born on June 12, 1955, in Kingston, Jamaica. Raised by his grandmother and aunt, he moved to the United States at the age of 10 where he was raised by his mother and stepfather in New Jersey. After high school, Munroe attended Eastern College where he majored in religion and psychology and served as editor of the campus newspaper before graduating in 1975. In 1978, Munroe received his master’s degree from Andrews University in Michigan and went on to attend Dallas Theological Seminary where he earned his doctorate in Bible in 1983, specializing in systematic theology.
